Commenced in 2000, Bago Woodworks is situated in Wauchope, twenty minutes from Port Macquarie
on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales, Australia.

To ensure a sustainable supply of quality timber resource, we are working towards micro-milling
and drying; servicing not only the needs of Bago Woodworks but also providing a similar service
for other woodworkers.

Wauchope, once the heart of the timber milling industry on the Mid North Coast, boasted over 50 timber
and veneer mills, supplying hardwood and much sought after softwood including Red Cedar, Rosewood
and Coachwood to all parts of Australia.

Today Wauchope survives on a very much-reduced saw milling industry but still prides itself
on its history and its past. At BagoWoodworks, utilising the same local timbers as were logged many
years ago, whilst approaching our business in a more environmentally responsible manner,
incorporating reclaimed, salvaged and commercially sustainable timbers, we still acknowledge and
are influenced by the impact of our local timber heritage.

At Bago Woodworks we have identified and chosen to work with local hardwood timber,
until recently only used as construction timber because of its weight. Through several years of research
and development we have identified numerous species, predominantly eucalypts, that are durable,
characteristic and appealing, on which to base our range of dining tables, chairs and cabinetry.
